Accept Imperfections

By Ariel Colhoun Passionate about increasing the sphere of influence for women & driving positive change.

The quintessential definition of perfect is having all the desirable characteristics, qualities, or elements; or having something completely free of defects. Perfect is such a subjective word and can hold so many different meanings yet we strive for perfection in so many various aspects of our lives.

If your version of perfect is unreachable or held up so high on a pedestal, you are creating a highly improbable expectation for yourself – plain and simple. Nothing is perfect. And nothing is perfect to those with a critical eye.

Make ‘perfect’ be your friend and your ally. Change your perspective on what is perfect. Allow your perceived version of perfect to have imperfections. This will allow you to move forward with reduced inhibitions and change your life for the better in the long run.
