Anyone who knows me knows I live in my Converse sneakers. I have all their styles from low top, to high top, to boy's cut, to slip canvas, and even a red pair of wedge heels!
A couple of months ago I was on my way back from a writing retreat on Eilean Shona in Scotland and spent a couple of days in London before heading back across the pond to Canada and I came across these limited edition "Life's Too Short To Waste" yellow Renew Converse sneakers. Immediately I fell in love ... there's was so much about these sneakers and the meaning behind them:
Being a rebel optimist at heart, the yellow reminded me of sunshine, positivity and nature, and were perfect knowing that I was on my way back home to winter, cold weather and snow.
The message on the sneakers instantly stood out and perfectly matches my impulsive personality as I am a firm believer that life is too short too waste and most of my best stories revolve around making rather impulsive decisions (like recently making the decision to get not only 1, but 2 English Mastiff puppies - Snoop & Saachi!!! And lastly, these sneakers are made from 100% recycled polyester that came from used plastic bottles. In the words of Converse on the inside label of my new sneakers ...
