"We create good products that help feed children around the world." - FEED Projects
Meet FEED Projects.
FEED Projects is a socially conscious business that was co-founded in 2007 by model-turned designer and entrepreneur Lauren Bush Lauren (who happens to be Ralph Lauren's daughter-in-law) and social entrepreneur and sustainable food system activist Ellen Gustafson.
From bags to accessories, to home goods, the products all give back with the partnership benefitting No Kid Hungry - an organization that hopes to eradicate child hunger in the United States by providing nutritional meals to the youth. According to FEED, "Hunger is a daily reality for approximately 795 million people, and one of the most effective solutions to combat this crisis is school feeding. With every product we sell, we provide school meals to the most vulnerable communities across the globe, through on-the-ground partners." As of December 21st, 2019, FEED Projects has donated over 170,532,896+ meals to date from all the purchases made!
We love the mission behind FEED and we also love that it is a women-led company that advocates for women’s rights, equality, and women’s empowerment. With their artisan partners, not only are they able to provide school meals as a means of nutrition and incentivize parents to send their children to school, but they can also help enable local artisans and their families. And according to Sarah Naseer- the President of FEED, "As a company that focuses on people and livelihoods at our core, growing our artisan-made product category has become a priority for us as well."
Meet Harriet.
"Meet Harriet - a soft leather tote that brings fashion and mindfulness together like never before. Each bag in our Trailblazer Collection is made of genuine semi-vegetable tanned leather that is seriously soft, yet durable and structured for everyday wear. So much more than a leather bag, each Harriet Tote provides 100 meals to children in need when purchased."
There are many ways to help contribute to this fabulous cause by simply purchasing one of their products, volunteering, or even hosting your own dinner to raise funds through the FEED Supper program.
