My Favourite Compression Bra After Breast Explant Surgery

After recently having breast explant surgery my plastic surgeon supplied me with a post-surgery compression bra. After realizing most plastic surgeons do not supply their patients with a bra and simply wrap patients in bandages, I thought the gift was thoughtful and practical ... I mean the last thing you want to do is start shopping for compression bras immediately after surgery.

However, once I was back home I found the bra to be extremely uncomfortable and way too tight, not to mention the gathering on either side of the front enclosure was leaving deep marks in my skin.

I ended up buying a few bras on Amazon as I found they had the best selection & I didn't have to leave my home & delivery was quick.

Out of all the compression bras I tried, this bra was by far the most comfortable & didn't leave those marks from all the gathered material in the front like the one my plastic surgeon provided. I also liked that I could adjust the setting in the front as the swelling went down.

The most important features I felt were:

  1. Front enclosure with the 3 row hooks for optional size settings that you can adjust for added comfort

  2. Adjustable shoulder straps - perfect for all body types

  3. The price - this bra was by far the best value for the money!!! And it is available in 2 colours.

  4. Lightweight & super comfortable!

Note: you will want to buy 2 bras so you always have 1 to wear while the other one is in the laundry!
