P!nk: Letter To Self

Pink is making headlines again and we love it!

In a recent Twitter post, Pink writes a letter to herself. The message? Empowering. Inspiring. And most of all ... Refreshing.

Pink's Letter To Self

"Letter to self; Dear Me, you’re getting older.I see lines.Especially when you smile.Your nose is getting bigger..You look(and feel) weird as you get used to this new reality. But your nose looks like your kids, and your face wrinkles where you laugh. And yeah you idiot..u smoked."

"Continued note to self: Every once in a while you consider altering your face, and then you watch a show where you want to see what the person is feeling... and their face doesn’t move. I’m cannot get behind it. I just can’t."

"I’m fortunate because I’ve never really depended on my looks. I’ve decided that my talent and my individuality is far more important than my face. So get on board cause I am about to AGE THE OL FASHIONED WAY (in a tutu ruling shit at 30 mph 100 ft in the air over 40) yasssssssss"

Do It For You & Only You

Pink's message needs to resonate with the millions upon millions of women around the world who think they are not good enough, not pretty enough, and feel pressured to change their physical appearance through cosmetic or plastic surgery. Even Pink herself admits at age 40 she too has considered the possibility of "altering her face". Rockstars, influencers, successful people, celebrities, and more - none are immune to having seconds thoughts about the way they look as they age. The message to all women should be "Be your own kind of beautiful". And whatever kind of beautiful you are looking for, you should be doing it for you and only you.

We all have enough outside expectations, opinions, and stress on us in all aspects of our lives, the last thing we need to do is change our physical appearance in hopes we will feel more loved, more accepted, more part of the 'norm' (whatever that may be!).

Born in 1979, Pink has already achieved sooooooo much in her life - American singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, record producer, spokesperson, model, and animal-rights activist - to name a few. And she has accomplished it all by just being herself. Pink is well known for her distinctive style and many women around the world look up to her as a role model for being true to yourself for who you are. That's a lesson we all need to take dear to our hearts. Success comes with inner confidence and when you have confidence in who you are on the inside and out, you will just shine like a beautiful light to everyone you meet.

So whenever you are not feeling as confident about the way you look on the outside, remember, be your own kind of beautiful and own your body. Own your wrinkles, own your scars, those perceived imperfections, your hair or lack of hair, those freckles, and 'beauty' spots, that bend in your toes or whatever it may be ... because each one of those things tells a story - your story. <3
