The Importance Of Self-Regulation



No one can keep you or your thoughts in line except for yourself. The intrinsic nature of both the mind and wishing is pure. As a rule of thumb, simply err on the side of positivity in all aspects of your life rather than make incorrect or negative assumptions. Having a negative perspective is a vagrant and pointless flaw created by your mind. Deep down we all inherently know that we should not engage in negative thoughts but our human mind has a tendency to veer towards this direction and engage rather than simply accept and move on. Remember any time you give towards negativity builds strength and weakens the positive aspects, hence, the importance of self-regulation and the ability to control your behaviour and to think before you speak.


If you give negativity a leg to stand on then you are really directly infringing on your own personal pleasures through no fault of your own. Negativity hampers progress. Every minute you spend on negative thoughts takes away the minutes you can have on positive thoughts. In essence, you are cannibalizing your own personal contentment. You need to make a commitment to yourself to place limits on the amount of time you spend hashing and rehashing negative thoughts and ensure the majority of your time is spent moving forward focusing on the ‘good’ things in life. If you want to guard your mind and keep it healthy, you must control your weaknesses and strengthen your strong points.
